Almanack, Lying pack, Shuffling seer, Cheat, that’s clear! But one longest day each year? If you my advice would take: You’ll a hundred longest make.
He who first has left his bed, Has the longest day; He who learns with sharpest head, Has the longest day; He who ’s well his lessons said, Has the longest day.
This you can do, were it daily; Three times hundred and three score, Were it even five days more! Then the year you’ll spend right gaily,
This believe and understand: Do it but a hundred times, And you’ll shout in merry rhymes, Gaily dancing hand in hand:
