Transcriber's Notes

For this transcription, the following edition was used:

"Fratris Felicis Fabri Evagatorium in Terrae Sanctae, Arabiae et Egypti peregrinationem: Volumen Primum" (Stuttgardiae, Societas Litteraria Stuttgardiensis, 1843)

The 1843-edition this transcription is based on contains very many typographical errors. Before amending a word I checked whether it might not be a variant spelling. When the correct word was not sufficiently clear or even entirely unclear, a "[sic]" was appended while the text itself was left unchanged. Any changes applied by the transcriber are indicated by Transcriber's Footnotes" ([TR1], [TR2], etc.).

Footnotes present in the original text are indicated by "[1]" etc.
