GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLI-TIQUE

Instructions are for hand stitching, however some may be glued or pinned in place depending on the item. Use matching thread, doubled, for stitching.

You’ll need:

To make:

1. Fold rick rack to half length.

2. Interlock by hooking “V’s” together.

3. Pin to mark half the length. Fold raw end in and roll on itself up to pin.

4. Tack underside to hold shape.

5. Fold down outer points and finger press.

6. Stitch in one point and out the next along lower edge. Gather lightly by pulling thread.

7. Coil gathered points around rose base twice and tack to underside.
