NUMBER THREE
A JOY FOR EVER
vTHE ARISTOCRATS
Two friends have I, so grand, so gay,
A finer pair you never knew,
A prouder pair you never saw;
And one of them is Lord Macaw
And one is Lady Cockatoo.
And she is dressed in white and gold
And he is dressed in gold and blue,
Yet will they deign to shake a claw—
The great and stately Lord Macaw,
The handsome Lady Cockatoo.
Rose Fyleman.
