THERE were once a dog and a cat, Who out on the door-step sat. The dog said “Bow,” and the cat “Mieuw!” Then they both ran after a rat, rat, rat; Then they both ran after a rat. The cat caught the rat in a trice; Said she: “Don’t you think it is nice?” The dog said “Bow,” and the cat “Mieuw!” Then they wiped their whiskers twice, twice, twice; Then they wiped their whiskers twice.
