1st row.—3 d.c. in 4th ch.st.; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. in next ch.st.; 7 ch.st.; miss 9 ch.st.; make 3 d.c. in the 10th; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. in next ch.st.; 7 ch.st.; miss 9 ch.st.; work 3 d.c. in the 10th; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. in the next ch.st., which should be the last st. of foundation chain.
2d row.—Turn; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around chain made by 3 ch.st. in last row; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around same chain; 7 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around the next chain of 3; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around the same chain; 7 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around the next chain of 3; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. round the same chain; 7 ch.st.; fasten to end of 1st row; 12 s.c. in chain made by 7 ch.st.
