1st row.—3 d.c. in 4th ch.st.; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. in next st.; 9 ch.st.; miss 11; put 3 d.c. in 12th ch.st.; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. in next; miss 3 ch.st.; put 1 d.c. in each of next 3 ch.st.; miss 3 ch.st.; put 3 d.c. in 4th; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. in next; 9 ch.st.; miss 11; 3 d.c. in 12th ch.st.; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. in same st. of chain; 3 ch.st.
2d row.—3 d.c. around 1st chain of 3 between the two 3 d.c. of 1st row; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around same; 4 ch.st.; 1 cl.ch.st. through 5th st. of chain in 1st row; 4 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around next chain of 3; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around same; 1 d.c. in each of the d.c. of 1st row; 3 d.c. around next chain of 3; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around same; 4 ch.st.; 1 cl.ch.st. through 5th st. of ch. of 1st row; 4 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around next chain of 3; 3 ch.st.; 3 d.c. around same; 5 ch.st.; fasten to beginning of preceding row. Turn 10 s.c. around last chain of 5.
Repeat these two rows until the desired length, then finish off the bottom with 12 trebles around chain of 3 at end of rows, always fastening before beginning the next one.
