Rice Pudding.
Reading edition
2 quarts of new milk, 5 tablespoonsful of rice (uncooked), 5 tablespoonsful of sugar, ½ teaspoonful of salt. Cook on the back of the stove six hours, stirring occasionally, then set in the oven to brown on top.
