IS IT WELL WITH HER?

Reading edition

Angel child, so far away, Free from Nature’s changeful sway, Tell me, art thou warm to-night? Whisper, burns thy candle bright, By thy bed, of cumber free, Holy in the joy of thee? Sweet, my darling, hearest thou Steps of Him who guards thee now, Crowned and armed before thy door, Sentinel of Death’s far shore? Child, His face is kind, I know, Though His deeds in mystery flow.
