Note 58 — INDEX

Reading edition

Goa Kádámba inscriptions say that Jagaddeva was the cousin of the Goa Kádamba king Vijayárka the nephew of Miyánalladeví and call him by courtesy the younger brother of Vijayárka’s son Jayakeśi II. He would seem to have been held in esteem by Vijayárka and his son Jayakeśi, to have then gone for some time to Siddharája, and after leaving Siddharája to have transferred his services to Permádi. His being called Paramára may be due to his connection with Permádi. Fleet’s Kánarese Dynasties, 91. ↑
