Wriothesley’s Chronicle (Camden Soc.), i. 17. Holinshed supplies the date, December 4, and gives the names as Sir Rees Griffin and John Hewes (iii. 928). Pennant, a Welshman, corrects these names to Sir Rhys ap Gryffydd, and John Hughes. He gives particulars of the family of Sir Rhys.
