Wey also copied into his book another account of the holy places at Jerusalem in English verse. This is seemingly of older date than his own, and no mention is made of Veronica. But we read, e.g.:

Ther Jhesu mett with his Modyr Marie

Ther sorowyd together both He and she;

And ther the wymmen of Jerusalem

Wept on Chryst when that He cam.
