There must be some error in the text—probably made in the transcriptions of Diaz’s manuscript for publication—for Pérez says (Catálogo, p. 140) that these missions contained 160 religious. The father here named is mentioned a little below as Manuel Losada, which name (although it does not appear in Pérez) was probably his baptismal and family name, the other being that assumed by him on entering the order.
