CANEZOU.

Reading edition

Taylor’s Mecklenburgh Thread, No. 6; Pins No. 14, Bell Gauge. Or Black Netting Silk.

Illustration from The Knitting Book

The chemisette pattern and the border for Shetland Shawl are easily arranged to form an elegant canezou thus: work the chemisette pattern until there are 199 stitches on the pin instead of 135, and work the sides the same, repeating the pattern 10 times instead of 6; then work one piece of the border with the same pins and thread, it will form the half square.
