David Shea translation

Baizaví is the surname of Nasir eddin Abu Said Abdalla Ben Omar, a native of the town Baizah, in the province of Fars, about forty-five miles distant from Shiraz. He was a Kází, “judge,” of the last-named town, from which he passed to Tauris, where he died in the year of the Hejira 685 or 692 (A. D. 1286 or 1292). He composed a literal Commentary in two volumes upon the Koran.
