صادق, sadik is known to be the epithet of Joseph, Abu bekr, Jesus, and Jâfer, the sixth Imám; it appears to designate the Imám, the Dái, or the acknowledged spiritual guide among the Ismâilahs; I shall therefore retaîn the term in the translation.
