This novella was combined into one printed volume with another novella called "Hoe men schilder wordt," which will also appear in due time. References such as a table of contents that point to the other novella have been left out of this e-text.
A footnote is missing on page 57 of the print version. Also, the numbering of footnote references on that page is in the wrong order. This has been corrected in the e-text.
Page 9: inserted full stop after "Semelles de liège, enz".
Page 10: inserted closing quotes after "toch niet vangen.....".
Page 19: capitalized "ik" at the beginning of a sentence: "Ik versta u genoegzaam".
Corrected: "et hare moeder" to "met hare moeder" on page 62.
Corrected comma to full stop after "in hare aderen...." on page 68.
Corrected "gescheurt" to "gescheurd" in "reeds lang gescheurt" on page 29.
OE ligatures have been transcribed as "[oe]" in the TXT version.
The HTML version contains invisible page numbers that refer to the page numbers of the original print edition.
