This transcription of Rabinal-Achi was taken from "Grammaire de la langue quichée espagnole-française" by Étienne-Charles Brasseur de Bourbourg, published in Paris in 1862.
Where inconsistencies in spelling and hyphenation appeared in the text they have been retained, apart from the following which we identified as misprints: v'oyeualal, v'achihital --> v'oyeualal, v'achihilal Chuch-Gug Chuch-Raxom --> Chuch-Gug Chuch-Raxon Balam-Achi, Balam Quiche --> Balam-Achi, Balam-Queche Some probable typographic errors which have not been corrected include: NADE --> NABE ciqibal --> ziqibal pahabal --> u pakabal banon --> banom qumo --> qamo
