The following pages have been written and tied together for the purpose of giving to the world the true story of the invasion of Wyoming’s soil by the cattlemen of the plains. It is not sent out as a literary production, but an honest statement of the facts as they occurred. Personal acquaintance with the principal actors and accurate general knowledge of the country and its conditions have given me unusual facilities for gathering reliable data. (Every statement herein made is the truth.)
