The victory of Quebec, as well as British successes in Germany, induced the formation in England of a “Society for the Encouragement of the British Troops,” of which Jonas Hanway printed at London, in 1760, an Account, detailing the assistance which had been rendered to soldiers’ widows, etc. (Sabin, viii. no. 30,276.
