The Canadian historian, Benjamin Sulte, has a monograph, La Vérendrye, a paper, “Champlain et la Vérendrye,” in the Revue Canadienne, 2d ser., i. 342, and one on “Le nom de la Vérendrie” in Nouvelles Soirées Canadiennes, ii. p. 5. The Rev. Edw. D. Neill has a pamphlet, Le Sieur de la Vérendrye and his sons, discoverers of the Rocky Mountains by way of Lakes Superior and Winnipeg, Minneapolis, 1875.
