Note 135 — Chapter I · (continued 2)

Reading edition

This map of North America is reproduced in Lindsey’s Unsettled Boundaries of Ontario, Toronto, 1873. It shows a view of the Indian fort on the “Sasquesahanoch.” Moll’s Minor Atlas, a new and curious set of sixty-two maps, eighteen of which relate to America, was issued in London, without date, ten or fifteen years later. Cf. also “A new map of Louisiana and the river Mississipi,” in Some Considerations on the consequences of the French settling Colonies on the Mississippi, from a gentleman of America to his friend in London. London, 1720.
