[John Farmer (1789-1838) and Jacob B. Moore (1797-1853). Each did much for New Hampshire history. For an account of Farmer, see N. E. Hist. and Geneal. Reg., i. 12, 15. He published a first volume (Dover, 1831) of a projected new edition of Belknap’s History of New Hampshire, from a copy “having the author’s last corrections.” Moore was the father of the well-known historical student, Dr. George H.
