After they had got them into the canoe a north wind was blowing. They then put up their sails. Many dead bodies were left behind them. And, when they got far out to sea, they pulled off the head of a man of the Cumshewa-town people10 named Sʟins who sat in the canoe, and threw his body overboard while it was still alive.
