JUST LIKE OTHER CHILDREN

Two little Gobolinks one day Were sent to do the dishes, Instead of which they ran away And fished for shadow-fishes. They fished and fished and fished and fished, And but a leaf they caught, O, And then they wished and wished and wished They'd done the thing they ought to. So, by and by they homeward crept With plumage drooping sadly, And there they bowed their heads and wept Because they felt so badly.
