¡Caminos, canales y puertos! He repeats her word as people do in quarrels, and adds any word, with sense or without, that comes to his mind. Cf. English "Oh, your way in the world, nonsense!" or "Your way nothing!" or "Your way your granny!" The word demonio in l. 11 has a similar element: "or any old thing".
