apresuramiento, haste: long words in Spanish are often very transparent: here the stem is pres; -amiento (-imiento with -er and -ir verbs) is so uniformly added to verb stems that its force should be clear: 'act or manner or time of'. There are about 1000 such words in -miento: note consentimiento and ofrecimiento, in the same letter.
