Reading edition
This differs slightly in detail from the account given by Motley, whose authority is so high that it is with reluctance I do not adhere to it in every particular. In this instance I follow the Life of Boisot, as given in Leeven en Daden der Doorlughtige Zee-Helden, a quarto volume issued at Amsterdam in 1683.
