The Works of John Knox, Volume 1 (of 6)

Note 764 — PREFATIO.

Reading edition

In the outer margin, (fol. III,) Knox had written some words which have been scored through, and are partly cut away by the binder. As well as I can decipher the words, the sentence may be thus read:—"Luik quhether it be best to tak in heir the Beggars Warning, or in the place befoir appoynted." See note [725]; [770].
