Served in the Pa., and had the gold medal for Nivelle. Commanded the 51st at Waterloo. C.B. Lt.-col. of this regt. 1817. D. 7th March, 1840. He belonged to an old family in Carmarthenshire, and was brother to Ralph Rice, Judge at Bombay, who d. 1850.
