Was severely wounded in the left leg at Albuera. In 1832, when serving as senior capt. in this regt., the old wound broke out afresh and caused much suffering. Applied for a pension for wounds to which he had been entitled, but it was refused on the ground of the lapse of years since the said wound was received.
