Bn. at Fahan, co. Donegal, in 1773. Son of Rev. Henry Barnard, D.D., and grandson of the Bishop of Derry. He received the Russian order of St. George for Waterloo; also the Austrian order of Maria Theresa. Was made commandant of the British division occupying Paris after the capitulation. D. Lt.-Governor of Rl. Hospital, Chelsea, 17th Jan., 1855.
