Note 179 — Chapter V

The point forming Huasco bay is low and rugged, with several small islands between it and the port. The river is small, and a heavy surf breaks outside; the water, however, is excellent. There is another small river of brackish water nearer the port. The port is in latitude 28° 27´ S. Here our author becomes more correct in his reckoning.
