Moreover, other, smaller detached observatories, might be erected on the east and west coasts of America and Africa, on the islands of Sumatra, Borneo, Celebes and Gilolo, on one of the islands of Gilbert's archipelago and upon one of the Gallopagos islands, if it be considered worth the effort to acquire some real knowledge as to the movement in space of the leader of our planetary system and the bodies pertaining to it.
