See Earle’s edition of the Saxon Chronicle. Mr Charles Plummer, who edited a new edition of Two of the Saxon Chronicles, Parallel (Oxford, 1892-99), does not altogether agree with Earle in these views. He holds that no distinction was meant between Lunden and Lundenburh.
