It should be clearly explained that group analysis is not my analysis of the group but that it is the group’s analysis of me or of any other individual. In our laboratory usage, “group” does not mean a collection of individuals. It means a phyletic principle of observation. This phyletic principle of observation as applied to the individual and to the aggregate is the whole significance of group analysis.
