Note 35 — Chapter VII
Reading edition
“A Corporation has a separate legal existence not dependent on the legal position of its members. Every Corporation has a seal, and that is its signature. For if there are several individuals in the Corporation it boots not for each to sign their name; that is not considered by the law as the signature of the Corporation. But when the seal is affixed to a document no further writing is necessary, for the Corporation is deemed to have signed.”
