The Poetical Works of William Wordsworth — Volume 8 (of 8)

Note 533 — A WORDSWORTH BIBLIOGRAPHY

Reading edition

Entitled “Wordsworth and his Poetry.” A review of the 1824 edition and of Yarrow Revisited, Boston, 1835. An estimate of Wordsworth’s claims as a poet, and as a man. A more comprehensive, stronger, more inviting criticism (in appealing to those to whom the poetry is unknown) has not been written. It ranks, in my opinion, among the best criticisms on Wordsworth written in America.
