[From Paston MSS., B.M.] This letter is endorsed in a contemporaneous hand ‘Anno xiiijo,’ showing that it was written in 1474, the 14th year of Edward IV. We also find Sir John writing to his brother in November following that his brother Edmund had heard nothing more of Eberton’s daughter.
