Note 1467 — BOOK XX. REMEDIES DERIVED FROM THE GARDEN PLANTS.

John Bostock translation

The great majority of the statements as to the virtues of the cabbage, though supported by Cato, and in a great measure by Hippocrates, are utterly fallacious.
