Note XI-23 — Chapter XI · THE QUICHÉ-CAKCHIQUEL EMPIRE IN GUATEMALA.

Reading edition

The reader is already aware that no such kings ever reigned over the Toltecs in Anáhuac. It is evident that the author has confounded the Tulan of the Guatemalan annals with Tollan, the Toltec capital in Anáhuac, and the Nahua migration from the Xibalban region in the fourth or fifth century, with that of the Toltecs in the eleventh.
