Reading edition

Cf. p. 195. Both Thomas Artour, of Cambridge (ob. 1532), who wrote a Microcosmum, tragoediam, and a Mundum plumbeum, tragoediam (Bale, i. 709), and John Hooker (ob. †1543), of Magdalen College, Oxford, who wrote a comoediam, scilicet Piscatorem ... alio titulo Fraus illusa vocatur (Bale, i. 712), seem to have been Protestants, but nothing is known of the character of their plays, which may have been either English or Latin.
