Note 219 — Chapter XIX · LITURGICAL PLAYS (continued)
Reading edition
Text in Du Méril, 213; Coussemaker, 220. The play contains a Paschal sequence and ends with a Te Deum. Part of the action is in a platea; Simon has a domus, which afterwards ‘efficiatur quasi Bethania.’ Other ‘loci’ represent ‘Ierusalem’ and ‘Galilaea’ (cf. p. 50), and the ‘Suscitatio’ takes place at a ‘monumentum’ (probably the Easter sepulchre).
