At Arles it was the sixth lectio at Matins on Christmas day (Sepet, xxviii. 2); at Rome the fourth lesson at Matins on Christmas eve (Martene, iii. 31); at Rouen it was read at Matins two days earlier (Martene, iii. 34); in the Sarum Breviary, i. cxxxv, it makes the fourth, fifth, and sixth lectiones at Matins on the fourth Sunday in Advent.
