Reading edition

Gautier, 219, prints a dialogued trope for a feast of St. Peter from an eleventh-century troper of St. Martial of Limoges; the Winchester Troper, 6, 103, has one for St. Stephen’s day (Winchester) and one for St. John the Evangelist’s (Canterbury). Meyer, 35, calls attention to the dialogued Christmas versus sacerdotales in Hartker’s tenth-century St. Gall Antiphonarium (J. M. Thomasius, Opera, iv. 187).
