Note 508 — SEVEN MONTHS IN ENGLAND.
Reading edition
Wesley's foolish friends fortunately failed in their efforts to keep Whitefield and himself apart. Within three weeks after this, Wesley writes again: "1742, May 12. I waited on the Archbishop of Canterbury, with Mr. Whitefield, and again on Friday; as also on the Bishop of London. I trust, if we should be called to appear before princes, we should not be ashamed." (Wesley's Journal.)
