Tiraboschi Storia della Letteratura Italiana, tom. vi. part 2d. p. 363. Poggio has recorded a notable story of one of these indiscreet orators, who in the fervour of a declamation against the vice of adultery, declared, that he had such a detestation of that offence, that he had much rather commit the sin of unchastity with ten virgins than with one married woman.—Poggii Opera, p. 433.
