I have used the translation as I find it in Ottley’s Inquiry into the Origin and Early History of Engraving, vol. I, p. 47. The original is given by Temanza, Lettere Pittoriche, vol. v, p. 321. Temanza found this decree in an old book of regulations which belonged to a fraternity of Venetian printers.
