Khartummim. The same word is used to describe the magicians whom Pharaoh summoned to interpret his dream, Genesis xli. 8, where the Vulgate has coniectores. Exodus viii. 11, the Vulgate reads: “Uocauit autem Pharao sapientes et maleficos.”
