Note 63 — Chapter XI · THE ELECTION OF HAROLD.[1] January 5th–April 16th, 1066.
Reading edition
I know of no other English church of the thirteenth century which exhibits the French arrangement of the apse and surrounding chapels. It may be seen at an earlier date at Norwich and in the ground-plan of the destroyed monastic church at Leominster, and at a later date at Tewkesbury, the example most like Westminster, though on a much smaller scale.
